The World Wide Web: Anarchy or Feudalism?

Extra posting this week because I missed the last couple of updates while I was sick. Here’s me engaging with the idea of the web functioning as a sort of feudal system as discussed by Ted in the lecture.

  1. Yes I agree with you I think ‘feudalism’ makes more sense to the analogy of cyberspace too. There are different regulations of the internet usage in different countries, different websites have their own governance. I agree of regulating the internet, because it needs to prevent cyber crimes but the bad side is privacy violation and users are limited to do anything from the platform. So, what will be the best approach?

  2. I think the internet can have many different forms of governance depending on your personal experience, I think their is a lot of micro communities that are governed in a untied of ways so its kind of impossible to put one label on it. The internet is a unique beast.
